THE FOUR PILLARS OF SELF-MANAGEMENT

The Four Pillars- What are they?

Different parameters are used to understand the Yogic perspective of the 'Self' are :

 

  • Understanding the SELF: Understanding the personality through the 5 layers of the body and the states of the mind etc.


  • Analysing the SELF: Evaluating the six enemies of the mind


  • Disciplining the SELF: Training the mind and body through daily routine with the practice of Pranayama, Mudra, Conscious eating & Relaxation techniques


  • Uplifting the SELF: Focus- Attention- Concentration- Meditation.


Mastery over the mind  through consistent effort and practice, the Self becomes refined and internally stable (mind, emotions & energy).  A calm and stable state of mind helps navigate from Dharana ( Concentration) to Dhyana (actual Meditation) effortlessly.
